Webber Street

Overview

Webber Street, is steeped in community and character, known for the Webber Street Centre, which has supported the homeless since 1962. The area’s history includes The Priory, built in 1893 as social housing and once home to photographer Bert Hardy, and a former London County Council school, now the Centre for Literacy in Primary Education.

Close to the Old Vic Theatre, built in 1818, Webber Street blends heritage, creativity, and social purpose in one of South London’s most authentic neighbourhoods.
